Officially launched in late 2024 under the Geely Galaxy sub-brand, the little hatchback has been on an absolute tear. It was built to go toe-to-toe with micro-EV heavyweights like the BYD Seagull, and the strategy is paying off beautifully. Right now, Geely is pumping these out at an astonishing global average of one car per minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The numbers speak for themselves: the Xingyuan actually cleared 465,775 retail sales to become China&#8217;s absolute best-selling vehicle model in 2025. It helps that Geely didn&#8217;t skimp on the hardware. Built on their GEA architecture, the car pairs tight urban dimensions with features you normally expect in a much pricier segment\u2014think standard CATL battery cells, a massive 14.6-inch center screen, and a 540-degree camera system. Aggressive limited-time discounts and a steady stream of longer-range updates have kept the momentum from stalling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But Geely\u2019s ambitions stretch far past its home turf. Rebadged as the Geely EX2 for international markets, the micro-EV is now selling across more than 30 countries. It has already carved out a massive footprint in Southeast Asia and South America, even kicking off local assembly at a joint-venture plant in Brazil.
