Geely Auto Group came tantalizingly close to breaking its all-time monthly sales record in October, missing the mark by a mere 245 units. The automaker delivered 310,183 vehicles globally throughout the month. While that is a modest 0.99% uptick compared to the same period last year, it represents a much sharper 6.17% leap from September. More importantly, October marks the company’s eighth consecutive month of back-to-back growth.

New energy vehicle (NEV) sales across Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr hit a record 214,996 units—a 21% jump year-on-year. In fact, electrified cars made up nearly 70% of everything the group sold in October. Pure battery electrics led the charge, climbing 43% to match a volume of 140,758 vehicles. Meanwhile, the brand’s push outside of China is paying off significantly. October marked the fifth straight month where exports cleared the 100,000-unit threshold, landing at 107,153 vehicles. That is a massive 158% spike over last year’s figures. Interestingly, foreign buyers aren’t just looking for cheap gas cars; NEVs made up more than three-quarters of those overseas shipments.

Geely used October to cement this global pivot, making a major splash at the Paris Motor Show and anchoring its UK presence through a 100-showroom deal with the Lithia Group. By leaning into high-tech exports, the manufacturing giant is successfully hedging against a slower domestic market and carving out a permanent spot on the world stage.
