Chery Group’s luxury electric vehicle brand, Luxeed, is going global in 2027—and the Philippines is on the map. Marc Zhang, Executive Vice President of Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines, confirmed the upcoming expansion, noting that finer details will roll out as plans lock in. Luxeed isn’t tackling the market alone; it operates under Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), sharing the tech powerhouse’s ecosystem with sister brands like Seres (Aito). Two flagship models will spearhead the global rollout: the Stormax sporty crossover and the Luxeed Llounge.

Luxeed Llounge a massive full-size luxury minivan. At 5,359 mm long and 2,009 mm wide, it completely dwarfs a Toyota Alphard—stretching an extra 300 mm in length and 60 mm in width. The Llounge relies on a range-extender (REEV) setup, where a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine acts strictly as an on-board generator to keep the 53.4 kWh battery topped up. Buyers can choose between two flavors. The single-motor, rear-wheel-drive base model delivers a 223 km WLTP electric range but takes a leisurely 9.3 seconds to hit 100 kph. For more urgency, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant drops that 0–100 kph sprint to a swift 5.9 seconds, sacrificing just a bit of electric range at 210 km.

The all-electric Luxeed Stormax doesn’t just accidentally look like a Ferrari Purosangue—it shares actual DNA. The performance SUV was penned by Werner Gruber, a former senior exterior designer at Maranello whose resume includes heavy hitters like the LaFerrari, FXX-K, and Portofino. In China, buyers can choose between two distinct flavors of the Stormax, starting with a 371-horsepower, single-motor RWD base model.
That entry version is no slouch, hitting 100 kph in 5.6 seconds while squeezing out an impressive 852 kilometers of CLTC-rated range. But if you want supercar-level urgency, the Ultra model steps up with a dual-motor AWD layout. It belts out 586 horsepower, dropping the 0–100 kph sprint to a blistering 3.8 seconds.
